This ice compete with Unsmiling Tsarevna for the same slot. It saves 1 credit, to have +1 strength and (functionally) -1 sub. Also, you cannot insure that it will fire. But it does do in the trick of slowing down the runner.

Considering that Drafter is considered a good ice AND that Doomscroll is considered to have 3 subs for Banhkar, I think Doomscroll wins the race and will replace Tsarevna.

You might be right.

3 cost instead of 4 cost crosses an important threshold for the corporation: you can always click for three and have the money to rez a 3 cost ice from dead broke.

NBN and Weyland continue to be the most eerily similar to real life.

As for the ice itself, I mean Drafter numbers can't be that bad right?

The subs are generally not going to be quite as high-impact as Drafter's since Drafters subs give the Corp player a lot of control over what exactly is getting reinstalled, but that is not a bad point of comparison.

Even after the release of Elevation, this is my favorite spoiler article and one of the reasons I love Netrunner so much. A simple card can make me go down a dystopian rabbit hole and learn so much about the world.

Great work and can't wait to read more from you!

Not every blog post is an effortpost, but when NSG hands me a goodie I can't resist.
